How to Get Featured in the Collectors Circle

The Collectors Circle helps exceptional artists reach affluent San Francisco professionals, entrepreneurs, and art collectors. Here’s what you need to qualify for a feature and put your work in front of serious buyers.

For many artists, getting their work in front of serious collectors is often harder than creating the work itself.

Social media platforms have become crowded marketplaces where exceptional artwork competes for attention alongside endless content, advertisements, and algorithms. As a result, many talented artists struggle to reach buyers who are genuinely interested in collecting art.

The Collectors Circle at San Francisco Radar was created to address this challenge by connecting artists with an audience of affluent professionals, entrepreneurs, executives, designers, and established collectors who actively engage with the arts.

If you’re interested in being featured, here is what we look for.

Requirements to join

1. Your Work Must Be Exceptional and Original

Collectors are not simply looking for decoration. They are looking for work that reflects a unique perspective, strong technical ability, and a clear artistic voice.

We prioritize artists whose work demonstrates originality, consistency, and a commitment to their craft. Whether you work in painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, or another visual discipline, your portfolio should showcase pieces that stand apart from what is commonly seen online.

Artists should submit work that represents their best and most current practice.

2. You Must Have a Professional Way for Collectors to View Your Art

San Francisco Radar does not handle transactions, negotiate sales, process payments, or act as an intermediary between artists and buyers.

Because of this, artists must provide a direct link where collectors can view available work, learn more about the artist, and make inquiries.

This can be:

  • Your personal website
  • An online gallery profile
  • A professional portfolio platform
  • A dedicated online store

Collectors should be able to easily explore your work and contact you directly if they wish to purchase.

3. Become a San Francisco Radar Yearly Member

Artists featured in the Collectors Circle are required to hold an active San Francisco Radar Yearly Membership.

Membership is $90 per year and helps support the publication while ensuring that participating artists are committed to maintaining a professional presence within the community.

Yearly members receive eligibility for consideration in Collectors Circle features and other artist-focused opportunities that may become available throughout the year.

What Collectors Are Looking For

The most successful artists in the Collectors Circle understand that collectors are often purchasing more than a single artwork. They are investing in a story, a vision, and a creative journey.

Strong artist statements, professional presentation, high-quality images, and a clear online presence all contribute to collector confidence.

Many collectors discover artists long before making a purchase. Being featured gives them an opportunity to become familiar with your work and follow your artistic development over time.

Ready to Apply?

If you create original, high-quality work, maintain an online portfolio where collectors can view your art, and hold an active San Francisco Radar Yearly Membership, we encourage you to apply for consideration.

The Collectors Circle was designed to help outstanding artists reach readers who value creativity and have the means to support it.

Because features are intentionally limited, each selected artist receives dedicated attention rather than competing against dozens of other artists at the same time.

For artists seeking meaningful visibility among serious collectors, the Collectors Circle offers an opportunity to be seen by the right audience.
